While we all know going to the gym is great for physical activity and health, it also offers a world of non-health-related perks that contribute to personal growth and overall well-being. Here I will outline some of the perks you might not have considered and hopefully it will give you that extra boost to help you get to the gym and improve yourself in more ways than just physically:

The energy in a gym full of people trying to get fit and better themselves is infectious and you will end up training much harder in a gym than you would do trying home workouts alone in the house. It can also be a good place to embrace your ego, If you see someone else lifting heavy or training hard you don't have to copy their weight but use them as motivation, try to beat their intensity. Train even harder than them.

So for all these reasons, make sure you go to the gym and enjoy all these rewards. Listen to your favourite music, forget about any work or outside stress for 1 hour a day, chat to some friends in between sets. If you do that consistently you will see changes in not only how you look, but how you feel and your focus and drive outside of the gym too.
